Funding Opportunities for Overseas Collaboration
This support trip aims at helping the teams to prepare for the Round 2 and Round 3 Assessment in the competition by working with their overseas team members. This provides a very good experience with interaction and exposure of entrepreneurship culture in different countries.
Important Notes:
- The funding is eligible to HKUST students whose team has overseas member(s), such as overseas universities students or oversea organization members (e.g. incubators).
- For teams entered Round 2 assessment, Entrepreneurship Center (EC) will support HKUST students a trip with upto 2 nights accommodation within the Round 2 period (i.e. from March 27, 2019 to April 23, 2019) to work together with overseas team members. A reference guideline of the support scheme is listed below:
Overseas Country Support Scheme Mainland 50% of the total cost, up to $3,000/person for 2 people Asia 50% of the total cost, up to $4,000/person for 2 people Outside Asia 50% of the total cost, up to $8,000/person for 2 people - For teams entered Round 3 assessment, the same support to another potential trip would be provided for them to prepare the Round 3 Assessment. Qualified participants must travel within the Round 3 period (i.e. from May 8, 2019 to Jun 2, 2019)
- EC reserves the rights to make the final decisions on the travel support but would give special considerations and may waive some of the requirements to the teams based on their special needs and circumstances.
